Nigeria’s Flying Eagles team have arrived the city of Bielsko-Biala in Poland Saturday morning ahead of their second group D game of the FIFA U20 World Cup against the United States of America on Monday evening reports Completesports.com.
Nigeria’s delegation is staying at the Qubus Hotel in Bielsko-Biala.
The Flying Eagles who kicked off their campaign on a winning note trouncing Qatar 4-0 thanks to goals from Maxwell Effiom, Okechukwu Offia, Ayotomiwa Dele-Bashiru and Aliu Salawudeen in Tychy on Friday will be aim for another win against USA to seal qualification to the round of 16 at the competition according to the Flying Eagles coach Paul Aigbogun.
USA lost 2-1 to Ukraine in their first game.
“We are here in Bielsko-Biala for business,” Flying Eagles coach Paul Aigbogun told thenff.com.
“It was great that we were able to convert the chances we had against Qatar and start our campaign on a brilliant note.”
“Kudos to the boys. But the competition has just started and we must now take it one match at a time.
“Victory over USA will guarantee us a place in the knock-out stage and that is what will go for.”
Meanwhile, the city of Bielsko-Biala will also host the Flying Eagles’ final match of the group phase against Ukraine on Thursday.
Nigeria lead group D with three points after the first round of matches with Ukraine in second position due to an inferior goal difference. USA are third while Qatar occupies the bottom spot.
