Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is doubtful for the visit of Watford but has not yet been ruled out by manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Brazil international was forced off in the first half of Sunday’s goalless draw at Manchester United after rolling his right ankle and – while the injury is not as serious as first feared – he appears unlikely to feature at Anfield, especially with a Merseyside derby at Everton up next on Sunday.
Midfielder Naby Keita has recovered from illness and trained on Tuesday but defender Dejan Lovren is not yet ready to return because of a hamstring injury.
England international defender Joe Gomez is also absent but Klopp revealed that he could return from a leg fracture after the international break in March.
Liverpool, who have drawn three of their last four games, will maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table with a win and Keita insists they are fully “focused” on trying to win every game.
The Guinea international said: “I think we are even more focused and concentrated than before. The manager certainly is and so is every member of the squad.
“What we’re doing now is giving absolutely everything in training so that we can take that concentration and that focus into every one of those games that are left between now and the end of the season.”
