Kiko Femenia is again Watford’s only definite absentee ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League trip to face leaders Liverpool at Anfield.
Femenia has returned to training following a hamstring injury but the trip to Merseyside comes too soon, which could see Hornets head coach Javi Gracia stick with the side that thrashed Cardiff 5-1 on Friday.

Watford go into the game on the back of two successive wins, but midfielder Will Hughes knows they will have to produce their best performance in order to secure a result against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
He told the club’s website: “We have to be on our A-game and they have to drop off their standards. We’re not thinking about denting their hopes, we’re trying to get points for ourselves.
” He added: “Performance-wise we’ve only played Tottenham and Arsenal away and given a good account of ourselves. “It comes down to being ruthless. We have got to make the most of half-chances because they have players that take them.”
