The Founder/Chairman of FC Ona-Pal, Engineer Obinna Peter Paul has expressed confidence that the Aba-based side is strong enough to fight for promotion to the NPFL when the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League, NNL, gets underway, Completesports.com reports.
Engineer Paul while speaking with Completesports.com in Uyo recently said that determination, hard work, and the support of the management are the oil in the wheel of FC Ona-Pal towards greater heights.
The club owner also corroborates the Head Coach, Zachary Baraje’s projection in an earlier interview with Completesports.com that within two years, FC Ona-Pal would earn a continental competition berth.
“I am very much optimistic that the team we are parading right now, at the end of the NNL season this time around, will be in NPFL. I know that from there we will be in the continent,” Engineer Paul said.

“You saw it [the team quality] when the boys played. We have taken our time to build this team. We started from the NLO [Nationwide League One]. From there we now see, that yes, we can do this. The boys are so eager to play in the NNL and the opportunity is here. So we are very optimistic.”
Engineer Paul described as a great development the approval of the Enyimba Stadium Aba for their home matches by the Abia State Government and the management of Enyimba International Football Club. And he is confident that FC Ona-Pal will not disappoint Aba football fans.
