French women’s first division club Stade de Reims have announced the signing of Falconets stars Rofiat Imuran and Blessing Oluwatosin Demehin.
Imuran and Demehin joined the French outfiton a two-year deal with a 12-month extension option.
In a statement released the club commented on the acquisition of Imuran:”A few days before facing Paris FC, Stade de Reims is strengthening defensively with the arrival of Rofiat Imuran, a young Nigerian left side. Welcome Rofiat.”

And commenting on the signing of Demehin, the club wrote:”After the arrival of Rofiat Imuran, Stade de Reims continued its international recruitment and enlisted Blessing Demehin, a young Nigerian defender. Welcome Tosin.”
Both players were part of the Falconets squad that featured at this year’s FIFA women’s U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
The team got to the quarter-finals before losing 2-0 to Netherlands.

So of all the Nigerian players that featured in Costa Rica, only these Yoruba players did well enough to have been snapped up by a European club in less than three months! This club must be tribalistic and I am very sure that the coach and the owner of the club are Yoruba. Radarada.
