Head coach Ceri Jones is delighted that prop Lloyd Fairbrother has penned a new deal with Welsh club Dragons. There has been no news on the length of the contract but it means the 27-year-old will continue to ply his trade at Rodney Parade after moving to the club from Exeter Chiefs back in 2014.

He has played more than 100 times for Dragons and Jones was pleased that the front-row ace will be in his pack once again in 2019-2020. “It’s fantastic that Lloyd, a real cornerstone of our pack, has committed to the Dragons as we continue to shape the squad for next season,” he said. “Lloyd has enjoyed a very strong season.” Fairbrother, born in Cornwall, said he was “delighted” to sign a new contract.
He joins Tavis Knoyle, Jared Rosser, Ashton Hewitt, Adam Warren, Matthew Screech and Lewis Evans in signing new deals.
