Before signing for Plateau United Ilechukwu was coach of MFM for two years, 2017 to 2019.
And speaking in his post-match, Balogun explained why Ilechukwu was a big influence in the game.
‘I had a sleepless night because I faced my boss who brought me to MFM and I know he knows all the strategy we will use. And his philosophy that he brought to MFM we have not change it which made me believe the match would be difficult.”
Balogun expressed delight that MFM finally secured their first win of the season and promise fans of the club to also be expecting victory in their next fixture.
He added:”I feel very happy because we finally got our first win of the season and as you know Lagosians love good football and I told my boys come rain come sun we must try and win this game and we were able to achieve it.
“Ahead of our next game fans should expect victory because the door has finally opened for us following the win against Plateau United.”
