Congratulations lookman! I know if you had been cleared, you will be more loyal to your fatherland than that bastard Dennis.. don’t worry from that slight injury, it will be big injury that will finally put him out till after 2023 world cup
Some of you are inhuman. Pray for forgiveness from God. You are evil
Ha!! ha! Brother,
This is too much now. May God forgive you. Besides, it’s not Dennis’s fault at all, he actually wanted to come. It’s that stupid old man called Claudio Ranieri.
I’m really working had here for Watford to get relegated, Dennis can move to a better club.
Hope they lose the rest of their matches and go back to where they belong.
Wixkee. It’s his fault. He does not want to come. Ranieri said it. He asked to play first team. Though I will never support any comment wishing him bad. That’s not appropriate and good. But Dennis need to be more disciplined or else his playing career will go as far at it should go.
If he doesn’t want to play for Nigeria in AFCON, respect him for making that bold decision, he has the right to not play if that’s what he wants.
Haba oga! Why call him bastard?
It was clear invitation was sent late by the NFF, what’s Dennis fault here?
Leave those idiotic fools make them dey make fool of themselves.
@LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN You are pathetic and a scum. If your kind of prayer works, Buhari and a lot of other Nigerian politicians would have died a long time ago.
It’s a shame you are praying and wishing evil on someone because of the mess NFF made which led to Watford refusing to release him, that shows the kind of person you are.
Even if he made the decision snub Nigeria to help Watford, he has every right to make that choice and it should be respected by everyone.
Nigeria, NFF and Nigerians have to learn to do things right and in a timely manner.
Dennis mtchew
Watford mtchew
Claudio Ranieri mtchew
Let them getat
Haha take it easy naw, u want him to back his club and face naija abi? What are u now saying has naija done anything for u b4? It’s just the love they have cos nothing to write for about the nation. If dennis is ur broda and his club is threatening him u will advice him to come to naija and ignore his employer abi? Let think b4 we talk here is public. We should learn to ask question. Like ighalo he did all he could but his club hold unto the contract they agreed. Wish the guys all the best of luck.
The way some minds think, you just wonder. Why call him a bastard because his club won’t release him. Are you going to call Ighalo the same thing because same thing happened to him. To the extent that you will wish ill to a man, wow!
So John Ogu that had similar issue like that of Dennis with his coach and club and then testified about forcing his way out of his then club despite the threat just to represent Nigeria is a fool Abi?
He thinks he is smart to reject Nigeria call for Afcon(maybe like klopp he thinks it’s a small tourney and he is bigger than the competition) then try to show up for the big event(world cup)? No! Let him stay out totally!
Akinboyede you just made the same mistake he made. Must you curse him to correct him. Nigerians and their mentality Sha.
Ighalo that refuse to turn up for training on two occasions? Altleast those were signs that he really wished to be in Cameroon not that disrespectful slave of the whiteman
I think you need to direct your frustration to the inept NFF for their administrative lapses regarding players invitation. He should risk his livelihood due to the incompetence of NFF. Funny thing is you will not risk your livelihood for anything Nigeria.
You left NFF alone, you are wishing ill to a player.
Golden what about those who have done that before. That’s the difference between smallie like Dennis and the greats. Ranieri confirmed Dennis wanted to stay to help Watford. Ranieri said it. He should know better than anyone. Igahlo fought it. Oshimen fought it. Dennis did not raise a finger. This same Dennis had problem of indiscipline in the past.
The early news said he wanted first team play. Have you confirmed whether that is true or false. We need to look closely at Dennis. He has a problem which will limit his football. He had orobelms with his previous clubs.
@Christian ministries Nigeria, is Dennis a saint? Even Dennis will confirm to you that he isn’t. My issue is we leave the real source of a problem and start chasing after the wind. The President of the NFF Amaju admitted via his interview with Arise TV that Dennis’s name was not in the original list sent and as such the 2nd invitation was not within the stipulated FIFA window for notifying the clubs for players release for tourneys. NFF did not play by the rules which in turn empowered the club via this technicality to hold on to the player.
Could he have shown more desire? certainly but we must take into consideration the circumstance surrounding the club in relation with the battle for relegation. This is a club that took a chance with him when FC Cologne and FC Brugge did not want to have anything to do with ( The former’s coach had colourful things to say about him). Even the Nigerian coach did not want to have anything to do with him and now you expect him to turn his back on the club that believed in him when everyone else deserted him. Most times we Nigerians do not give thought to consideration by taking a balanced view on issues. The one that was negligent on the job and wasting tax payers money , we leave and then crucify the one who is powerless (as he is contractually obligated to the club) to change the circumstance caused by the negligent.
Someone on this forum was comparing him to Ekong, Ekong was in the original list and as such Watford was compelled to release him according to FIFA statutes. All this talk by NFF about reporting to FIFA is hogwash, they know theY failed to do the right thing and as such are powerless to do anything.
Some other fans will say, how about other late invites like Ebuehi, Onyekuru? Consider these:
1. Position of the clubs in the league: Are these clubs in a relegation battle like watford.
2. Importance of the player: Dennis is the most prolific striker for his club with 8 goals and 5 assists in a tough league like the EPL. Onyekuru has 0 goals 0 assist in the less fancied greek league. Ebuehi on the other hand is a bit part player for Venecia.
The import of all this is that, Watford of course will be more desperate to keep hold of the player and coach egus confirmed that the club threatened Dennis. I read some where that Victor Osimhen miraculously is healed of COVID which comes on the eve of the commencement of AFCON. These clubs would use every dirty tactics in the book to further their cause and you can not blame them, they stand to lose a lot of money.
A link was shared on this forum which showed dennis on watford tv responding to the question asked : Are you looking forward to representing Nigeria at the AFCON based on your present goal scoring form?
He responded : No i am not thinking about it, the thought does not cross my mind.
The video then ends.
That video snippet was not complete because he continued by saying “If it comes, it comes”. referring to his invitation (bear in mind that Coach Rohr had frozen him out of the team during this period and he was bitter).
Subsequently, we have read in some media outlet where he had to debunk claims that he does not want to honour the invite but rather he was looking forward to representing Nigeria.
And this just shows how some people in the press are trying to paint him as a bad boy based on his antecedents. Why would you take a snippet of a video so you can create a propaganda against this player?
We shouldn’t be parochial in our assessment of issues but rather take a broader view to arrive at the right conclusions .
Was it not the same time NFF sent I.V. to him and Ekong through their club?
So what is he feeling like? Or is he better than Mane of Liverpool that didn’t waste anytime but flew with Mendy to join up with the squad immediately after the Chelsea game?
So stop calling NFF into this.
Continue running your mouth na.. Na God give you.But as you dey run am make you know say for Warri and Benin we dey sell witchcraft like how Dem dey carry Orange for head dey do tele.So na you go use your mouth choose the one wey you want.
@Let Us Fail With Our Own, try and calm down. Dennis was arm-twisted by his club who took advantage (due them) of the failure of NFF to do d needful. Recall that the invite to Emmanuel Dennis nd 3 others came only when Victor Osimhen couldn’t make it due to d positive COVID-19 test as well as the fact that he hasn’t completely recovered from his injury.
Sport is business. He has a contract and an obligation to listen to his club in this instance. The youngman has dependant. This probably is one of his biggest moments been in the limelight, something that can further boast his footballing career. No much blames to him abeg… Players that are good and exceptional but with big ego can be managed, case in view, Ronaldo.
If he keeps his form, it could be useful for us in d world cup qualifiers in Match. And if not, talents abound. Rest guy man and stop cursing.
@ Let us fail with our own. You are a true patriot. Some Nigerians don’t see beyond their noise. Happy there are still people like you in this place. Agreed with you. Watford will reap what they sowed. One cannot plant cassava and reap cocoyam. To deny Nigeria of its one of our best players in the English Premier League was wicked to say the least. Their price for doing so, they will surely go down to the 2nd division once again. There is nothing they can do about it. The Oracle has spoken. Ahahahah.
Your illiteracy is even worse than that of @fail with our own
I don’t care if NFF or who is at fault but Dennis should not be invited to SE eagles again look at ighalo even if he knew it would be difficult for him to make it he still make attempt to show Nigerians his patriotism but this guy i no just know why e get my name God forbid you Emmanuel Dennis .
If he like win Watford goal of the month till the end of the season still getat you are not a Nigerian go play for your fatherland Ireland.
Watford ehn if not for Maduka Okoye, Troost Ekong, Dele Bashiru and etebo I would have declared you relegated in advance… In short championship is waiting for Watford.
18 Watford
19 Watford
20 Watford
Sure
@chinenye u ve not made any point rather than insulting, let us fail with our made a statement is it not dsame club dat Dennis is plying with ekong?mikel obi once took a bold step to represent his country at the confederation Cup ended up with losing his place by conte.dats true patriotism. Dennis doesn’t know dat dis event may be a stepping stone to his career.
The tournament is never going to be a stepping stone to his career because he already has a career. He does not have to swap his position as a starter at Watford for the bench just to show his patriotism to Nigeria if the NFF can not do the right thing.
Have you guy that a praying for him to get injured asked yourselves why the NFF did not file a complaint against Watford With FIFA ?
It’s disgusting to hear people reason the way you do.⁸

My ideal line up against Egypt
Uzoho
Aina
Sanusi
Ekong/Awaziem
Omeruo
Ndidi
Onyeka
Chukwueze
Aribo
Ejuke
Umar sodiq
Eguavon should not make the mistake playing aribo too deep. Iheanacho should sit on the bench while we watch what aribo can do upfront.
Chukwueze should sit on the bench for Musa except if there is a tactics to bring him when the Egypt defence must have tired out in the second half.
Zaidu can neutralize Salah. I believe strongly in that.
I always prefer uzoho to okoye. Okoye alwsy fail us at critical moments.
I would have loved an Awaziem and omeruo defence partnership.
What happened to Denis is not NFF fault, they ( Watford ) wan do the same to Senegal for Malang sarr but the guy push and today he is with the national team, Denis was interview if he like to go to afcon he was mumbling something we can not understand, truth is he don’t want to come. Chikina
@LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN na only dummies dey make this kind unreasonable utterances.
