Eberechi Eze has the perfect start to his Crystal Palace career following their 1-0 win against Southampton in Saturday’s Premier League opener, Completesports.com reports.
Eze who joined Palace from Queens Park Rangers, was introduced for Jeffery Schlupp with 10 minutes left in the game.
Palace broke the deadlock on 13 minutes through Wilfred Zaha who expertly volleyed home Andros Townsend’s cross.
In the 50th minute Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters was shown a straight red for a high-challenge on Tyrick Mitchell.

However, after reviewing on the pitchside monitor, referee Jon Moss downgraded his original decision to a yellow.
With eight minutes remaining in the game Zaha thought he had doubled Palace lead after Eze found James McArthur, who clipped a ball over the top for the Ivorian.
Unfortunately, Zaha saw his well taken effort ruled out for offside after consultation with VAR.
The win saw Palace go second behind Arsenal in the league table.

Think we need him
We don’t need him. He needs us. We should stop making Nigeria look beggarly. If Eze shows interest, then he is welcomed like every others. If players like Osimene, Chuzzy the wazza dazzler, Aribo etc feels privileged to play for nigeria, then to hell with the likes of Eze, Saka, Tammy etc that think otherwise.
