Samuel Chukwueze says the Super Eagles have total respect for Sao Tome and Principe national team, but are looking to record another big win against their fellow West Africans.
The Super Eagles pulverised Adriano Eusebio’s men 10-0 when both teams met in the reverse fixture in June 2022.
Jose Peseiro’s side are the overwhelming favourites to beat Sao Tome and Principe again when both teams clash in a dead-rubber encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

Chukwueze said the Super Eagles are determined to finish their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in style by beating Sao Tome and Principe again.
“We defeated them 10-0 the last time we met and it will be nice to go higher than that this time around,” Chukwueze told Completesports.com.
“But in football, you have to respect your opponent as well. They won’t want a repeat of the first leg result and will give us a good fight.
“For us, it is important to make the fans happy. They will be looking forward to another big win and we can’t afford to disappoint them.”
