Former Nigerian international, Etim Esin says he’s optimistic the duo of Victor Osimhen and Victor Boniface can lead Super Eagles to glory in the fast approaching 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that Nigeria has been pitted alongside host Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in Group A.
However, Esin in a chat with Completesports.com stated that the Super Eagles have one of the strongest strike forces in the tournament.

He noted that Osimhen and Boniface have been banging goals in Serie A and Bundesliga and can replicate their form in the Super Eagles at the 2023 AFCON.
“I am very confident with the crop of strikers we have presently in the Super Eagles. Both Osimhen and Boniface are good enough to lead to lead Nigeria to AFCON glory in Ivory Coast.
“They have been banging in the goals in their respective clubs in Europe and I am confident they can do the same with the team.
“I just pray the midfielders will be able to supply them with quality passes because I know Osimhen and Boniface are dangerous in front of goal.”

Two trees do not make a forest.if the Super Eagles are not selected on religious, and tribal sentiments, Nigeria can win AFCON
With the exception of Westerhof and Keshi Nigerian coaches have been either softies, cowards or psychopaths. I have little confidence in Peseiro, moreso as he as he accepted a pay cut and has still not been paid. His mind cannot be on the job.
Brother Keshi no too good as such it was just luck that won us the nation cup couples with the exceptional input of players like Mikel, Moses, Emineke, and co. Technically Keshi was not good but had gut to blast NFF
Always typing nonsense you think luck wins if you’re not good enough.
You be olodo original………….see you mouth
@Respect is reciprocal.Yes Keshi might not be too good technically but he is very good at Man management and player psychology. That is why he brought on board the technical and tactical genius, Sylvanus Okpara.Okpara was the one that did all the technical and tactical dirty works that won us the AFCON.Unfortunately, he fell out with the NFF for demanding respect and demanding payment of his outstanding bonuses.
If a Nigerian coach did well it is luck. If he didn’t do well, he is bad. If a white coach did well he is good. If he didn’t do well, it is bad luck. See mentality. If you understand what @Ako Amadi said, you wouldn’t say what you said.

Reality go soon dawn on all of us. Una too like to dey dream shaaa. Glory ko.
Football has changed……No more minnows and the so-called power houses are upping their game in every aspect to stay ahead of these stubborn minnows……..Nigeria has gone 20 years backwards with complaints of payments not made to players, owing both male and female national team coaches, hiring a Portuguese mechanic and so on. To be honest I expect another q final exit if we make it to that point. Semifinal will surprise me. The midfield and defence will be crucial and we lack that, and no significant change has been made by the mechanic.
