Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Andrew Aikhoumogbe has expressed confidence that Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye can revive his career at Udinese.
Recall that Okoye joined the Zebras on a four-year deal from Championship side, Watford.
A senior Nigeria international, Okoye featured twice for Watford last season, starting a match apiece in the Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup.
The Nigerian goalkeeper has struggled to get minutes since he moved to England last year but he can now revive his football career ahead of the 2024 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Aikhoumogbe says he’s optimistic Okoye will be back in the national team fold once he starts getting regular playing time at Udinese.
“It’s a good move for Okoye to have joined Udinese in the Serie A after a tough time with Watford in England championship.
“I want to believe that this move will help him revive his career and make a return to the Super Eagles squad.”
