Former Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel has warned the Super Eagles that every team will be difficult to beat at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that Nigeria has been grouped alongside host, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in Group A.
The three-time AFCON champions is expected to commence their campaign against Equatorial Guinea ON January 14, 2024.
However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Unuanel stated that Super Eagles must take every team very seriously regardless of their status.

“There is no doubt that the 2023 AFCON will be a difficult tournament to win for every participating teams including Nigeria.
“But then, I am still confident that the Super Eagles is one of the top favourites to win the trophy, However, no game will come easy for Nigeria because every team will want to prove their worth.
“The players are there to get to the job done and I believe they will make Nigerians smile at the end of the tournament.”

Apt.
Mr. Unuanel should please wait for the final Afcon list before warning the Super Eagles.
When we see the final list that merits our standards, then we can start warning the coach and the entire team of ours.
For me, I do not expect too much from NFF and the coaching crew because they are weak and not be honest with themselves and also not transparent.
No doubt we have a very strong squad on paper, but on the pitch, we have individual players, not a team.
The gaffer made a mistake by not using some of the invited players before now. By now, we would be familiar with the irregular players in the Super Eagles.
This is one of the reasons why I limit my expectations from the coach.
No doubt NFF won’t allow the coach to pick the best for Nigeria, but if the gaffer has what it takes, he should stand his ground and select the best for Nigeria.
If he does that and does well in Ivory Coast, his achievement will speak for him, and I trust Nigerians, we will fight for him if he performs very well.
The way it is now, fingers crossed. All the best to Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
NFF already know who and who will make the list not the coach, is hard to coach in Africa! White people don’t like sentiment,if NFF allow him, he will chose the best
Nigeria will struggle because of problems off the pitch: theft of players’allowances and coacges’ salaries, corruption, poor sports management, tribalism
