Former Nigerian winger, Garba Lawal has expressed optimism that Super Eagles striker, Cyriel Dessers will paint the Scottish League with goals for Rangers.
Recall that the former Cremonese player’s recent transfer to the Scottish club cost €5 million, with an additional €1.5 million in performance-based bonuses.
The Nigerian international, who scored seven Serie A goals in 29 appearances for relegated Cremonese will attempt to replicate his goal-scoring prowess in Glasgow.
Also, his great reputation in the Netherlands suggests that he has the potential to flourish in the Scottish Premiership despite his underwhelming Serie A campaign.
Reacting to his move to Scotland, Lawal in a chat with Completesports.com stated that Dessers will flourish with Rangers when the new season kickoff.
“It is a good move for Dessers as far as I am concern because he’s coming to a league that is not physical as the Serie A in Italy.
“This will definitely give him the chance to prove his goal scoring prowess again. Dessers is a quality striker that knows how to bang in the goals and I think this is a great opportunity for him to prove his worth with Rangers.
“Expect goals from him next season when the new season kicks off in Scotland.”

Hmmmmm Oga Lawal Mr Contradiction, Double Standard! but will the Goals Galore Stop you and your Cohorts from clamoring for below average Attackers from NPFL in Super Eagles over the likes of desser’s and players better than him for Financial gains?… Hmmmmmm! the Double standards and contradiction from these Ex internationals Na wa o e too much jare!
*** FOR SURE ***
Everybody know that Dessers is an all-round striker and a player who is perfect for the modern game.
“He is very mobile around the pitch and he’s very fast. He is strong and powerful in the air, comfortable on the ball and can score goals with both feet.
*** TO ME, APART FROM OSIMHEN, CYRIEL DESSERS IS THE ANOTHER AGGRESSIVE STRIKER WITH GREAT POTENTIAL.
*** I WONDER WHY COACH PASEIRO CONTINUE SNUBBING HIM AND CHUBA AKPOM FOR NATIONAL TEAM CALL-UP, AND KEEP INVITING IRRELEVANT, IRREGULAR, BENCH-WARMER PLAYERS TO SUPER EAGLE TEAM.
AND THIS IS A SIGNS THAT COACH PASEIRO IS NOT EVEN AN AVERAGE COACH TALK LESS OF GOOD COACH. HE IS A COACH THAT ALWAYS LIKE TO BE INVITING PLAYERS BASE ON EGO, SENIORITY & IRRELEVANT EXPERIENCE. HE DOESN’T CONSIDER FORMs, POTENTIALs OF A PLAYERS AS A YARDSTICK FOR INVITATION.
Goals galore??? Since when did he become a supporter of foreign-based footballers? This Lawal never fails to amuse and confound! He must be a heavy drinker.
Paseiro and NFF should please reserve the dead rubber Sao Tome game for finger SE + home players + new kids on the block like Dessers, Orban, Boniface, Chuba, Ebube Duru, Tyron Ebuehi etc. he should use the game to keep the starting 11 on their toes. I hope he doesn’t play the regular names.
I think TALK UR OWN talked the reality of Super Eagles delima in Peseiro reign; so Peseiro must recall new faces for SE so that he can select potential and in form players who can present excellent and strong performance for SE like: Alhassan Ibrahim, Daniel Daga, Frank Onyedika, Tyronne Ebuehi, Jordan Toruniarega, Cyriel Dessers, Chuba Akpom, Sebastian Osigwe, Chijioze Aniagboso, Victor Sochima, Divine Chukwu, Victor Boniface, Gift Orban, and new Athletic Bilbao Gift Elijha if he pledges alliagence for SE.
We all know what Dessers can do, but I am still wondering why Coach Paseiro, Eguavoen, and Oga Rohr ignored Dessers.
Only Osimhen can compete with him, but between both strikers, Dessers is more accurate in front of goal.
This is why we have to have Dessers in the Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
