With the duo of Zaidu Sanusi and Jamilu Collins also in the mix for the left-back position, Onyemaechi will need to work hard to convince the coaches he is the right man for the spot.
The former CD Feirense player stated that he will continue doing his best to earn a permanent spot in the Super Eagles.
“It’s good that we have good players in the team. Everyone has to fight for their place,” Onyemaechi told Completesports.com.
“I will keep working hard to make sure I play on a regular basis for the Super Eagles. It will be great to start regularly.”

SE players need competition for places in the Team for greater performance and earn Nigeria laurels.
Many Nigeria fans have fallen in love with this dude.
Bruno’s performance against Sao Tome was quite impressive, bombing up and down the left flank, combining beautifully with the rampaging Lookman. Those 2 guys put on quite a show.
Bruno will have to be consistently good though to tie down that shirt. He has some stiff competition to contend with.
