After signing a two-year contract as Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Sekou Chelle is expected to travel for meetings with some senior members of the Super Eagles, Completesports.com reports.
The Franco-Malian coach, whose mandate is to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, will spend a few days with the Eagles B team at their camp in Ikenne before flying to Paris to watch Moses Simon’s Nantes play in a French league match.
According to his itinerary, exclusively revealed to Complete Sports in Abuja, Chelle is also scheduled to visit England, Turkey, and Germany to meet players such as Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Nathan Tella, and a few others to discuss his plans for the team.

Chelle will return to join the Super Eagles B team, who are preparing for the CHAN tournament in Ikenne. He will accompany the team to next month’s CHAN tournament in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, where he will play a supervisory role.
Confirming Chelle’s involvement with the Super Eagles B team, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, said the new coach will join Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu, who have been preparing the team for weeks.
“The idea is for the new head coach to work alongside his three assistants who qualified the Super Eagles B team for CHAN, with the hope that he will identify some talents to possibly promote to the A team,” Gusau told Completesports.com.
“However, his role with the CHAN team will be limited to supervision, and we are hopeful the team will perform well and win the trophy. All we require from Nigerians is their total support and prayers.”

well i think the first person the coach is to meet is the captain of the Super eagles. Troost Ekong. The dumb ass technical committe, presidential commitee (or whatever they call them) and the NFF should have pointed this out to him
IF ERIC CHELLE BASED HIS INVITATION OF PLAYERS ON POTENTIAL, QUALITY & MERIT (without sentiment), THEN HE WILL DEFINITELY SUCCEED WITH SUPER EAGLE. BUT IF HE BASED HIS INVITATION OF PLAYERS ON EGO, SENIORITY, UNFIT EXPERIENCE PLAYER/LEADERSHIP/CAPTAINSHIP OR INVITE PLAYERS TO PLEASED/PACIFY SOMEBODY, THEN HE WILL FAIL WOEFULLY MORE THAN PAST LOCAL COACHES.
** ERIC CHELLE SHOULD LEAVE OUT ANY UNFIT, INCONSISTENT, BENCHWARMER, IRRELEVANT, IRREGULAR PLAYERS IN SUPER EAGLE TEAM. HE SHOULD LEAVE OUT UNFIT EXPERIENCE PLAYERS/CAPTAIN/LEADER OUT OF SUPER EAGLE.
**** CHELLE SHOULD SELECT A NEW FITTED LEADER/CAPTAIN (i.e. a captain that will be relevant on the field not on the bench,). NOT LIKE MUSA IN AFCON that is warming the bench.
