Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Andrew Aikhomogbe has predicted a difficult match in Saturday’s final of the UEFA Champions League between Chelsea and Manchester City.
Recall that both Chelsea and Man City made it to the final after defeating Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain respectively in the semi-final stages.
Saturday’s Champions League final will mark the 169th meeting between Man City and Chelsea in all competitions, with the Blues boasting 70 wins compared to the Citizens’ 59.
Thomas Tuchel got the better of Pep Guardiola in the FA Cup semi-finals before overseeing a 2-1 success at the Etihad earlier this month, although Aguero’s comical Panenka miss contributed to City’s downfall on the day.
With the trophy up for grab on Saturday, Aikhomogbe in an interview with Completesports.com from his base in Cairo, Egypt, stated that both teams will be eager to make an early impression.

He also said that Chelsea will feel less pressure considering the fact the odds favoured Man City to lift the trophy.
“I can’t really stick my neck on who will win the Champions League final because of the fact that both teams have quality players at their disposal.
“One thing I know for sure is the fact that football lovers across the world will be entertained by the two teams in Portugal. On papers, Man City are favoured to win the Champions League, however, Chelsea have a way of surmounting such hurdle.”
