Lesotho captain Sekhoane Benedict Moerane has said they are not going to show Nigeria’s Super Eagles respect in Thursday’s Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
Speaking in an exclusive chat with completesports.com, Moerane said they expect the Eagles to be on the front foot in most part of the game.
However, he said they will do everything possible to take the fight back to the Eagles.
“It’s going to be a tactical game because we are playing against a big team, Nigeria, one of the best in Africa.

“This is not our first time playing against Nigeria we are going to expect a lot from Nigeria because they are going to bring the game to us to get the three points but we are not going to respect them we are going to bring the game to them too.
“We know they are a good team with lots of players coming from outside the country but on our part we have six players from outside and majority of us play in Lesotho including me,” he told completesports.com.
The Super Eagles and Lesotho have met four times with the three-time African champions winning all the games.
But, Moerane, who plays for LMPS in Lesotho, reiterated that they will have a go at the Eagles.
“Our record against Nigeria is not good and it puts a lot of pressure on us but like I said we will bring the game to them.”

Good one we expect a great game then no packing of bus
Please don’t spare them, or give them breathing space. You also want to attend the world cup. With the way Rwanda and zimbabwe played today, the Eagles better take every game serious.
This people are playing with fire, I just hope the coach disregard this captain message and apply caution, this SE team. An score easy 5 goals if any defence loose guide, that’s playing to peseiro advantage but yet we have once individual on the goal that can concede even ordinary back pass. Shaiii
Lol! Femi you make me fall yakata in laughter Lmao!! I hope Uzoho improves. Anything shot of a 4-0 or at least a 3-0 win will be disappointing. It’s important to keep a clean sheet, but like you said Ọlọhun La fi Ṣọle. Lmao!!!
