Former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida has advised the Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum to deploy players who are capable of overrunning Australia from the wings in tomorrow’s 2023 Women’s World Cup clash.
Recall that Nigeria played a 0-0 draw against Canada in the opening game while Australia pipped Republic of Ireland 1-0.
In a chat with Completesports.com, Babangida has advised the team to keep it tight at the back and also deploy players who can create problems for Australia from the wings.
“I see a very tough encounter against Australia. However, the players must not allow the co-hosts to dictate the game because they are dangerous.
“Having watch their game against Ireland, I think the Super Falcons must capitalise on their weakness from the wings, The coach must deploy players who can overrun Australia from that position and also deliver a perfect cross to our strikers.
“Defensively, we must be very careful and avoid making unnecessary mistakes if the team must pick the maximum points.”

Mr Babangida, did you ask the coach if they have practiced on that wing play before you are advicing they use it? Na wa for all dz our ex this or ex that ooo.
Hahahaha…dont mind them.
The only strategy in their heads is wing play.
No wonder they’ve all had failed or zero coaching careers.
Do it like this, do it like that…only on pages of newspapers.
Brotherman these people they fall their hand ooo.All these our exs + should just retire into planting cocoyam on commercial level.
They will make more meaningful contribution to society than all these uninformed advice to managers that far more grounded than them. Advicing a team to play a system they haven’t mastered or even practiced at the least, in a world cup setting, only goes to show how witless these guys are in matters of football coaching/management. THIS IS A MATTER FOR THE COACH WHO IS WITH THE TEAM ALL THE TIME.
Before tournament, yes, we can suggest system for coach to try out with team but definitely not during proper tournament.
I’m surprised these our exes always give advice on how the gals would play. Most times their advice na mumu advice but None has adviced the nff to pay these gals their entitlements. None of them has called out the nff for their ill treatment of the gals and their coaches. They’ve all looked the other way amidst the horrible stench coming out of the glass house. For their mind, them want play the ostrich in order to make themselves relevant for future food is ready national team jobs just like one said he was gonna dedicate the trophy if he eventually wins to tunubu whilst he was being owed backlog of emoluments. Incredible country, incredible people.
