Former Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel believes with motherluck on the side of the Flying Eagles, the team will overcome Argentina in today’s round of 16 of the ongoing 2023 U-20 World Cup.
Recall that Nigeria finished third to qualify from Group B that included Brazil, Italy and Dominican Republic. The Flying Eagles picked up six (6) points from their three fixtures.
While Argentina, led by Liverpool and Barcelona legend Javier Mascherano, finished top of Group A with maximum points ahead of Uzbekistan, New Zealand and Guatemala.
The clash between Nigeria and Argentina promises to be a battle of skill and determination, that guarantees goal-mouth action between two formidable teams.
However, in an interview with Completesports.com, Unuanel said that the Flying Eagles must be organised at the back against Argentina.
He also hope that motherluck will be in favour of the team.
“I have see some of the games played by the Flying Eagles and was only disappointed with their performance against Brazil, where they lost their only group game.
“Playing against the host nation, Argentina in the round of 16 makes it even more tougher for the team. Yes, the home supporters will be an added advantage for the host but then, I just pray for motherluck for the Flying Eagles.”
