Former Nigerian midfielder, Garba Lawal believes the addition of Emmanuel Amuneke to the technical crew has strengthen Super Eagles quest of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Recall that last month the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) retained Eguavoen as the interim coach of the senior national team and also added Amuneke to be part of the technical crew ahead of Nigeria’s World Cup playoff clash against the Black Stars of Ghana later this month (March).
However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Garba stated that the addition of Amuneke will improve the team technical and tactically.
“I am really impressed with NFF decision to include Amuneke as part of Eguavoen’s coaching crew.
” I am optimistic that the NFF has taking a right in the right direction and we hope that they combo will make a big difference against Ghana in the World Cup playoff.
“There is no doubt that the team has the capability to overcome Ghana and I know they won’t disappoint.”

We pray the SE qualify so that the whole country will fight the imposition of a foreign gaffer by the NFF except a match reader on the bench like SENEGAL’s CISSE.
In this nation can you be patience with cisse like Senegal did. They didn’t have a good outing at 2018 world cup, performed below expectations. At 2019 nations cup they couldn’t equalize 7 minute lead. Senegalese were not shouting he has not won anything for the past 5years, they gave him chance, he got all the support he needed. Forget this can’t happen in Nigeria, Nigerians don’t have that patience. Forget all this support Eguavon is receiving, it won’t take time for funny human beings to back off his support. That’s why we sit down dey look.
Can you be patient*
The end justifies the means, according to an English saying.in a month’s time we will know the prudence or not of Amuneke’s inclusion in the overloaded technical army of the Super Eagles.
Super Eagles play will not be different from what we saw at the group stage of Afcon21, a flair of tiki-taka and goal mouth watering. It’s not new as Amuneke has always been invited to join the crew even during coach Rohr.
Talking about tactics and techniques. The only difference was that our main strikers weren’t available in Afcon 2019.
@Marquis, Are you a Tanzanian?
