Former Super Eagles winger, Ejike Uzoenyi, has been appointed Youth Team Coach of Rangers International after completing his coaching course in South Africa, Completesports.com reports.
The 36-year-old won the 2013 AFCON title with the Super Eagles in South Africa under the late Coach Stephen Keshi.
He also won bronze medal with the home-Eagles at 2014 African Nations Championship in South Africa, also under Keshi
In the same year, Uzoenyi was named in the Super Eagles squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
Uzoenyi’s impressive playing career spanned clubs including Rangers, Enyimba, Sunshine Stars, Rennes (France), Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits, Ajax Cape Town, and Zvijezda 09.

Upon his return, Uzoenyi was appointed to lead the youth team of his boyhood club, Rangers International, marking the start of his coaching career.
“I’m already into coaching. I’m in charge of Rangers Youth Teams — U15s, U13s, and U10s,” Uzoenyi told Completesports.com on Friday.
“It’s essentially a football academy, grooming young talents. Starting my coaching journey at this level with my childhood club feels fitting,” the evidently excited Uzoenyi added.
Uzoenyi’s playing career featured numerous trophies across various competitions.
Domestically, he won the NPFL twice with Enyimba in 2005 and 2007 and also claimed the Federation Cup in 2005 with the ‘People’s Elephant.’
In the 2015/2016 season, Uzoenyi lifted the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) title with Mamelodi Sundowns and won the CAF Champions League in 2016 with the same club.
Following his success with Sundowns, he moved to Bidvest Wits, winning the PSL title again in the 2016/2017 season.
