Former Watford striker Troy Deeney has backed Arsenal to defeat Chelsea in Sunday’s London derby at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners are looking to halt a run of back-to-back defeats when they face the Blues.
After falling to a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last weekend, Arsenal also lost 1-0 to Inter Milan in the Champions League.
But Deeney is backing Mikel Arteta’s men to emerge winners against their London neighbours.
The former striker believes the return of Martin Odegaard is a big boost for Arsenal despite the possibility of Declan Rice missing due to injury.
““No Declan Rice, but Ødegaard is back which is a massive change. I still think Arsenal are the better team,” Deeney was quoted on Arsenal News Central.
“Maybe no Cole Palmer as well, so I will say, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Arsenal get back to winning ways with a dominant performance, Arsenal will win 3-1.”
In the reverse fixture last season at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.
