Former Manchester United stars Paul Ince and Owen Hargreaves disagreed over Odion Ighalo wonder goal in Thursday’s 5-0 win at LASK, in the Europa League first leg round of 16 tie, Completesports.com report.
Ighalo opened scoring in his third start for United as he brought the ball down on the edge of the box, then let fly a left-foot strike that went in off the bar.

However, Ince believes the fact the game is being played without fans in attendance may have been a factor in Ighalo’s fine finish.
“Here he juggles it three times and fires it into the top corner,” Ince said at half-time on BT Sport.
“It reminds me of one of those that you would do at training. If it was a full house, I don’t know if I am doing a disservice to him, I don’t know.
“It is a wonderful goal, let me tell you that. A wonderful strike. That is something you would try in training.”
Fellow pundit Hargreaves disagreed with Ince’s theory and revealed how the goal reminded him of something former Leeds United forward Tony Yeboah used to produce.
“That is a beautiful goal,” he said. “It is one of the best goals he has ever scored. That is like Tony Yeboah that.
“That goal sums up United as their confidence is flying. Great finish.”

_ A Fluke Goal or Quality Effort? _
Whether it was a training ground effort that went well in a real match or a training ground move that went well in an environment akin to a training ground, it is not relevant: the goal Ighalo scored in the Europa league yesterday was world class, simple!
On another note reports reaching me today suggests that Manchester United are considering making Ighalo’loan deal a permanent one.
I think it makes sense for them to offer the Ex-Watford man a short term contract owing to how well he has performed since his shock transfer to Old Trafford.
Yes, Manchester United are expected to have a wider array of strikers available next season however Ighalo’s inclusion could help them manage squad rotation effectively (in my humble opinion).
Speaking on Manchester Evening Times, Coach Solskjaer said: “Odion has done really well since he came in and he’s enjoying himself.
And he will improve and get better but he has qualities we saw in him and we needed and we will still need those qualities for next season, so let’s see what we will do.”
Ighalo, who has now scored 4 goals in 8 matches across 3 competitions for Manchester United, is currently expected to return to his parent club Shanghai Shenhua in China at the end of season.
Deo, you dey mind Ince? I no know who send am message.
I totally agree with this statement of yours – “Yes, Manchester United are expected to have a wider array of strikers available next season however Ighalo’s inclusion could help them manage squad rotation effectively (in my humble opinion).”
I hope Igha-goal is allowed to stay for next season. I see Man United accomplishing great things. I can’t wait!
Thank you sir.
🙂
It’s a GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL!
IGHA-GOOOOOOAAAAAAAL!
A super strike from a player growing in confidence. The close control was amazing….to control the ball like that, under pressure from opposing defenders, is not an easy thing. When Rashford returns, I would like to see Martial and Rashford on the wings, and Igha-goal in the middle. With Bruno Fernandes playing in the AM role.
Enemies of progress are everywhere, just because it was ighalo that scored that if it was Messi or Ronaldo the story would have been different, but that boy will cause high blood pressure to many people with his success,
The truth is that all racists have been shamed, their contemptuous reaction to Ighalo’s signing proven to be nonsensical. Now they are searching for absurd reasons to berate him and downplay his goals.
Anyway Ince has shown that his brain power is less than one INCH long while Ighalo’s is measured in MILES.
Nice one. Long may their shame continue 🙂
