Former Italy striker Beppe Signori has hailed Victor Osimhen as the new Didier Drogba after the Nigerian impressive start to the campaign, Completesports.com reports.
Osimhen netted twice as Napoli came back from two goals to draw 2-2 against Premier League club Leicester City in their UEFA Europa League clash at the King Power Stadium on Thursday.
The 22-year-old scored 10 goals in 26 league appearances for the Partenopei last season.

Signori believes the former Lille striker has all the attributes to become a fearsome striker like Drogba.
“They are very similar, physically and technically,” Signori told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He has everything: technique, strength, elevation, speed and power.
“He is a player who is still young, he has room for improvement and I think he has shown a part of what he can do.”

Osihmen will come to Madrid after conquering Italy.
See his mouth like Madrid.
He’s EPL material.
I see him in Liverpool with his style of play.
M – O – S will be a mad combo
LMAO between your Liverpool and Galaticos which is of higher class and value. Be there and be fooling yourself with clone i.d
True. He will one day win world player of the year apart from African football player award and the Champions league trophy. Much is expected from him .
I can’t wait, and Madrid don’t discriminate, we have all national provided you gat the quality needed.
OSIMHEN IS THE NEW DROGBA-
My thoughts exactly!
…”He is a player who is still young, he has room for improvement”.
Ronaldo Da Lima was World Footballer at the age of 20.
Kanu Nwankwo was African Footballer at 20.
Osimehn is 22 (or more?).
Hope all these ‘Philip Osondu’ remarks doesn’t replay itself.
BIG NUMBER 9 SADIQ UMAR IS STILL BANGING IN THE GOALS. HE SCORED TWICE AGAINST ALCORON ON FRIDAY. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HAT-TRICK BUT HIS PENALTY FOR THE THIRD GOAL HIT THE POST THEN THE BACK OF THE GOALIE BEFORE ENTERING THE NET. IT WAS GIVEN AS AN OWN GOAL. BUT AT LEAST HE IS CURRENTLY TOPPING THE GOAL CHARTS IN THE SEGUNDA LIGA.
IF ALL GOES WELL HIS TEAM MAY FINALLY GAIN PROMOTION TO THE PREMIERA LIGA.
I pray God helps Sadiq to at least try himself in the Laliga, I feel he belongs there!
I remember making this Comparision a few months back and highlighting that Osimhen is even better because Drogba really started fulfilling his potential at a later stage at chelsea when he moved at age 27. With Osimhen still only 22yrs old and being compared to a Drogba in his prime stands Osibobo in good stead. We got a real Gem on our hands.
Osimhem is the best no9 in the world currently..He has all the qualities not like others who are deficient in one or two qualities. I learnt FIFA Wana test him for drugs and I believe he will come out tops. Pls no disrespect to Hallan, Lukaku and others .They are all good but Osimhen is a modern sticker revelation
They are free to test him, I went back to watch all his clips today from u17 till date on YouTube… The guy plays the same way, scores the same type of goals, has been bullying people since 1860…lolz…no be only drugs them go find, na drogbo… My boy is blessed of God, shikena!
Our strikers mean business this season. Just few matches played and the likes of
Osimhen, Onuachu, Moffi, Kelechi, Awoniyi, Dennis, Sadiqu have all scored crucial goals for their clubs.
Sadiqu almost scored a hat-trick yesterday only for one of the goals to be counted as own goal because it hit the keeper before entering the net. He still later hit the bar again in their 4:0 win.
He has really been unlucky with both his club career and Super Eagles callup. The space reserved for him, has now been taking by Moffi. His club always finding one excuse to hold him back. And this may end up preventing such a wonderful talent from playing for the senior team. Rohr cannot be blamed for moving on when there is so much Naija players banging goals every week in Europe. His club also made sure his asking price is always very high which always makes him loose all potential buyers from Laliga and premiership.
Let’s not also forget the likes of Simmy and Desers who are trying to settle in their new clubs. They will soon start banging the goals.
As for me, I just relax and watch how these Naija stars will rule the world in the days and years to come.
Best time to be a Super Eagles fan
He is like a steam engine, he has force. It takes a very skillful player to loop height and control an air ball while holding off an opposing defender, grit-tingly held on to displace an on rushing keeper before netting in what could be said to be a spectacle in the match against Leicester. Osimhen has implanted himself in the minds of many as we await the World renowned footballers to chip in one or two more words. What is counting for him, is his reflex and agility, that ability to speak to the round leather and it listens. It was the great Pele and later JayJay that shown such soccer euphoria during their stints. Osimhen has it all.
