Former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria Ike Ekweremadu has congratulated Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen following his move to Napoli, Completesports.com reports.
Napoli officially announced the signing of Osimhen from French Ligue 1 side Lille on Friday.
The 21-year-old 2015 U-17 World Cup winner penned a five-year deal believed to be worth €50m with a further €20m add ons.

Commenting on Osimhen’s move, Ekweremadu described it as a huge leap for Nigerian football.
“Congrats @victorosimhen9 on your new contract,” Ekweremadu wrote on his Twitter handle.
“This is a great leap for Nigerian football. Wishing you the very best at @en_sscnapoli. So happy for you, boy.”
Napoli is Osimhen’s fourth club in Europe since first signing for Wolfsburg in 2017.
After playing 12 games without scoring, Osimhen joined Belgian club Charleroi on loan where he impressed netting 19 goals in 34 games.
His impressive performance for Charleroi saw him join Ligue 1 club Lille and scored 13 goals in 27 appearances.
