The 2024/25 Bundesliga season is set to kick off during the weekend of August 23-25. The fixtures will be revealed soon. For many teams, the DFB Cup first round, happening between August 16-19, will mark their first official match of the season. During that same weekend, reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen will face off against runners-up VfB Stuttgart in the 2024 Supercup.

Key Dates for the 2024-25 Season

The 2024 German Supercup is set to feature the reigning Bundesliga champions against the previous season’s DFB-Pokal winners on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Additionally, the first round of the 2024-25 DFB-Pokal is slated to commence that same weekend, running from August 16 to August 19, 2024. The DFB-Pokal matches involving the two Supercup participants are rescheduled for August 27 and 28, 2024.
