Former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given has revealed that Bayer Leverkusen will bank on Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface for goals ahead of tonight’s Europa League final against Atalanta.
Recall that Leverkusen made Bundesliga history by romping to their first-ever title without losing, and they are yet to taste defeat in 51 games in all competitions this season.

In a chat with UEFA’s official website, Given stated that both teams will be eager to score goals.
“Both teams are quite offensive and like to score goals and create chances, but a final can be quite cagey.
“For Atalanta, you have Gianluca Scamacca, who missed out on the Europa Conference League final with West Ham last year, and Victor Boniface for Leverkusen.
“You always look at the strikers as the main men who are going to get the goals, and I think these two will probably have a lot to say as to where the trophy goes.”
