Fenerbahce coach Ersun Yanal heaped plaudits on Victor Moses after the Nigerian provided an assist for the club in Tuesday’s 1-0 over Zenit St. Petersburg in their first leg round of 32 fixture of the UEFA Europa League, reports Completesports.com.
Islam Slimani struck in the 21st minute after being set up by Moses from a corner-kick for the Fenerbahce’ solitary match winner.
The game was Moses’ first start for Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League after featuring as a substitute in his first three league games in the Turkish Super Lig.
“It was a beautiful encounter. We were in the game until 60 minutes,” Yanal said in his post match interview.
“My players played very well. Moses and Valbuena were fine. Our other players were very good and eager. We must synchronize the team’s departure in the inner field and outer field.”

Moses was subbed off in the 85th minute for Alper Potuk in his fourth appearance for the club since he joined on an 18-month loan deal from Chelsea in January.
The return leg takes place on February 21 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The 28 year old Moses could make his first league start for Fenerbahce when they host Konyaspor on Saturday.
Fenerbahce are yet to lose a game since Moses arrived at the club. They are currently 14th in the Turkish Super Lig table.
