Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers has been nominated for the UEFA Europa League Goal of the Day.
The Nigeria international was introduced for the final 20 minutes of Rangers’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Thursday night.
Dessers equalised for Philippe Clement’s side two minutes from time, before Bruno Fernandes fired home the winning goal for the hosts.

The striker beat the offside trap to run through on goal and take a superb touch before nesting the ball in the bottom corner.
It’s the first the 30-year-old has been nominated for the award in the competition this season.
The 30-year-old has so far registered 17 goals and four assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for Rangers this season.
Also in contention for the individual accolade are; Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun, FC Midtylland winger Dario Osorio and Besiktas star Milot Rashica.

The very few that understands football will love Dessers.
Omo9ja’s favorite SE striker. He no doubt has the quality, but I think he just lacks consistency.
Perhaps he would thrive under a new coaching philosophy under Chelle if he offered him more chances. But if the new SE gaffer relies on the immediate past coaching staff for advice on SE players, that might not happen.
Lol. And NFF says Eguavoen will work closely with Chelle as his “Nigerian assistant”. NFF is smoking weed. Imagine Chelle wants to invite players that have not “worked with” Eguavoen before?
Anyway, dessers should leave Rangers as soon as possible
