Super Eagles winger Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was at his best mettle as he netted a goal and bagged an assist in Lazio’s 3-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in Wednesday’s Europa League.
It took under five minutes to break the deadlock, as Dynamo did not clear effectively, so Dia completed a give-and-go with Pedro, bursting into the box and scuffing a low finish into the far bottom corner.

Lazio ran riot with two goals in 120 seconds, as first a poor Volodymyr Brazhko clearance was intercepted by Matias Vecino for the immediate through ball, releasing Dele-Bashiru to blast into the roof of the net.
Moments later, a well-worked move found Dele-Bashiru to cross from the right, and Dia was allowed a totally free header into the near top corner.

If the NFF can secure Ethan Nwaneri of Arsenal and bring in Uche of Getafe alongside Iwobi and Dele Bashiru, Nigeria’s longstanding creative midfield issues could finally be resolved. Nwaneri’s flair and vision, combined with Iwobi’s versatility and Dele’s attacking threat, would inject much-needed creativity. On the defensive side, with Ndidi’s ball-winning ability, Frank Onyeka’s energy, Abdullahi’s doggednedness, and potentially Aribo’s technical skills, the Super Eagles could field a midfield unit that balances creativity with defensive solidity. This could be the most dynamic midfield we’ve seen in years, but it depends on whether the NFF can pull it off, given their inconsistent track record in player recruitment and team management.

I doubt Dell Alli would still be eligible to play for Nigeria.
As for Ethan Nwaneri, he seems at the moment to be one of those who would rather prefer to “focus on their club career for now”, than commit to Nigeria.
@papafem,
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but players with such high level potential in England will not come to Nigeria. English FA will simply not allow it to happen. When Saka was in the Arsenal academy, he was touted as one of those they will not allow to slip away.
If Ademola was showing the form he has now, he too would have been blocked. Except England find 4-5 players who are better than him in his age bracket then we should not bother with him.
