Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface has warned his team not underestimate Molde ahead of their Europa League game on Thursday.
The Nigerian international, who was the joint-top scorer in the UEFA Europa League last season with six goals, made this known in a chat with the club’s official website.
“Molde are one of the top teams in the Norwegian league and they compete for the title year after year,” Boniface told the club’s official website.
“Molde were the reigning champions when I joined Bodø/Glim in 2019, and in the next two years when we won the league, Molde was the main competitor as runners-up.

“We definitely can’t afford to underestimate them also because they are at home.
“The artificial pitch there could be to their advantage. For us, there will be rather unusual playing conditions. ”
Boniface has a good knowledge of Erling Moe’s side having come up against them several times during his time in Norway with Bodo/Glimt.
Recall that on 22 July 2023, Boniface signed for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen until 30 June 2028 and was assigned the number 22. He made his Bundesliga debut as a starter on 19 August, in a 3–2 home victory over RB Leipzig. The following week, on 26 August, he scored his first Bundesliga goals by netting a brace at the Borussia Park in a 3–0 away derby win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
