Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has revealed that facing Germany in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Euro 2024 will be a tough encounter.
Recall that Spain defeated Georgia 4-1 to advance to the next round while Germany edged Denmark 2-0 in the Round of 16.

However, in a chat with TribalFootball, Fuente stated that he’s not worried about Spain’s clash against Germany.
“We have the best team and the best players. We are going to fight for it and we know what we have ahead of us, which is Germany. There is quality, commitment and confidence.
“The next opponent is a powerhouse, with great players. It is the well-known German machine. It will be a very close match, but we are very confident of our game.”

NFF should be watching this Euros with keen interest to see any “unknown” quality coach they can poach and afford.
I’d recommend the Slovakian coach who made England sweat against an average “no-star” team. Though nowhere the English team in terms of individual talent, their tactical discipline and the way they were taking out 2-3 English players in midfield and the final third, slicing through with incisive passes was genius.
Their goal was a work of art, the pass in the 18, the control, the lob beyond Pickford. They were very efficient with every chance and ball they had, even with 30% possession on average.
Thank God for the star boy, Bellingham who pulled a rabbit out of the hat in the 11th hour.
Eguavoen and co should be doing their homework and look for good coaches ready to leave their current roles.
