Portugal beat Slovenia on penalties to reach the Euro 2024 quarter-finals of Euro 2024 on Monday.
The game was decided via penalty shootout after 120 minutes of football failed to produce a goal with Portugal winning 3-0 and Diogo Costa was the hero as he saved three spot kicks.
Cristiano Ronaldo was presented with the opportunity of giving Portugal the lead in the 105th minute in extra-time but saw his effort saved by Slovenia goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
A sobbing Ronaldo had to be consoled by team-mates following his missed penalty.
