England-born Nigerian forward Michael Olise was overlooked for selection as France coach Didier Deschamps announced his final 25-man squad for Euro 2024.
Deschamps has opted to pick a 25-man squad immediately, despite 26 being allowed and many other nations naming preliminary lists ahead of the June 7 deadline to officially declare each selection.
Born to a Nigerian father and French-Algerian mother, Olise has been impressive for Crystal Palace this season, scoring 10 goals, bagging five assists in 18 Premier League games.
The 22-year-old, who has only featured for France at youth level, is still eligible to play for Nigeria, Algeria and England.
Also left out of the French squad are Chelsea trio Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi and Malo Gusto while Alphonse Areola, William Saliba and Ibrahima Konate are included.
Meanwhile, there is a recall for 33-year-old N’Golo Kante, who last played for France in the summer of 2022
The 2018 World Cup winner will have the chance to add to his 56 caps despite moving to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad last year.
