Netherlands have advanced into the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 after a convincing 3-0 win against Romania in the round of 16 on Tuesday.
A double from Donyell Malen and a Lomé strike from Cody Gakpo secured the win for Ronald Koeman’s side.
It is the first quarter-final appearance for the Netherlands in the Euros since the 2008 edition.
Gakpo broke the deadlock in the 20th minute as he cut in from the left before volleying past the keeper.

The Liverpool striker thought he had doubled Netherlands lead on 63 minutes but his effort was ruled out by VAR.
Malen made it 2-0 on 83 minutes as he slotted home from close range following good work on the touch line by Gakpo.
Then in the 93rd minute Malen sealed the win off a counter as he ran towards goal beat his marker inside the box and fired past the keeper.
The Dutch will now play either Turkey or Austria in the last eight.
