The hosts extend their lead in the 67th minute through Ilkay Gundogan’s brilliant goal.
Germany were in total control of the possession and could have increased their goal tally, but Hungary goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi was at hand to save the situation.
The win means Germany have qualified to the knockout stages of the competition with a game to spare against Switzerland.
