Croatia and Albania battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw in their Group B encounter at the Volksparkstadion, Hamburg on Wednesday.
Albania took the lead through Qazim Laci on 11 minutes.
Kirstjan Asllani sent in a wonderful cross from the right, which Laci nodded home.
Albania had other chances in the first half but failed to convert them.
Croatia improved after the break and scored two quick-fire goals.
Andrej Kramaric equalised for Zlatko Dalic’s side on 74 minutes.
They took the lead two minutes later with Klaus Gjasula diverting Kramaric’s shot into his own net.
Gjasula redeemed himself by netting the equaliser deep into stoppage time.
The two countries have one point each, and remain two points behind Spain and Italy, who play each other on Thursday.
