Super Eagles and Getafe of Spain midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has expressed deep concern over the increasing number of new cases of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
The official Twitter account of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) late Saturday night posted the number of the coronavirus cases in the West African nation.
It showed the number of new cases increased, stating: “661 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-230, Rivers-127, Delta-83, FCT-60, Oyo-51, Edo-31, Bayelsa-27, Kaduna-25.
“Plateau-13, Ondo-6, Nasarawa-3, Ekiti-2, Kano-2, Borno-1, 19,808 confirmed, 6,718 discharged, 506 deaths.” This got Etebo seriously worried to the extent of going on social media.

Etebo tweeted early Sunday morning: “Wow but seriously, what’s going on because in other countries, the cases are reducing
drastically and here we are still counting new cases.”
Meanwhile, Etebo broke his duck in the Spanish La Liga by scoring his first goal ever in the competition for Getafe on Saturday.
The midfielder found the net in the 30th minute off an assist from Angel Rodriguez to help Getafe draw 1-1 with Eibar at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
The 24-year-old currently on loan from Stoke City in the English SkyBet Championship has played nine times in the Spanish top-flight with just that one goal to his name.
