Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has defended Nicolas Jackson following his public spat with John Mikel Obi.
Mikel publicly criticised Jackson following Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening day of the season.
The former Nigeria captain was not happy with Jackson’s failure to convert the chances he created in the game.

Jackson reacted angrily after scoring in the Blues 7-2 rout of Wolverhampton Wanderers: ” Shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa.”
Essien has now shared his thoughts on the scuffle between the two.
“We all have our personalities. Some will say it, but for me, I would just ignore it,” Essien shared during an interview with Joy Sports.
“Everyone has an opinion, but I think it’s not personal. However, when the criticism comes from ex-players, it hurts the players even more, and then they react.”

I heard Togo rejected Ghana’s plea to use their stadium for next qualifiers. Maybe this is really hurting Essien and his fellow countrymen after they bad mouthed the idea of coming to Nigeria due to so-called rivalry. Rivalry that only Ghanaians can see because I think they that compare themselves are not wise. If to NFF do their homework from 1970s who be Ghana for where Nigeria dey talk???
Hehehehehe Nicolas Jackson should have jumped on Instagram and invite some Senegalese gods to kill mikel obi…
Why the subtle reply?
