Lazio manager Marco Baroni wants more from Fisayo Dele-Bashiru despite the midfielder’s impressive start to life at the club.
Dele-Bashiru made his maiden Serie A appearance for the Biancolesti in the 3-1 home win against Venezia on Sunday.
The Nigeria international was in action for 90 minutes in the game.
“Dele-Bashiru has great potential. He is a lad who must understand our football and to do so he must train and play,” Baroni was quoted by Lazionews24.

“We will give him the opportunity to do so. We also have other good midfielders who are improving. The attitude was important.”
Baroni also listed two key areas the former Sheffield Wednesday must work on.
“He has to improve his posture, he is often closed by the opposition who doesn’t give him the chance to drive forward,” Baroni added.
“But when he opens his shoulder, he is devastating. He has to become a ball-winner, but it’s not easy. It’s a complete upheaval, but he made an extraordinary contribution.”
Dele-Bashiru joined Lazio from Turkish Super Lig outfit, Hatayaspor earlier this summer.

This is what we call a constructive criticism. It is important that coaches give an aftergame feedback to players to know what to improve about their game. I see Fisayo showing a steep improvement in his game with this coach. No sugarcoating, just plain facts.
