Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss has stated that LeBron James’ $48 million salary for the upcoming season is a “bargain.”
Buss stated this on AM 570 LA Sports, where she also discussed the value of LeBron James to the franchise.

Despite James been the highest-paid player in the team, Buss highlighted the value he offered to the club, suggesting they would have paid him more but were hindered by the league’s salary cap.
“Yes, he is our best-paid player, but it is still a bargain to me, absolutely incredible,” Buss said.
“As we are a league with a salary cap, we can’t pay him more. He brings us notoriety in both NBA and international basketball.
“I think he’s so competitive that it really has to be something he wants to do. We always support our players in the decisions they make regarding whether or not to play for their national team.
James’ $48 million contract marked the largest for any Lakers player in the upcoming season, further solidifying his impact both on and off the court.
