Rasheedat Ajibade got the only goal as Atletico Madrid beat Villarreal 1-0 in their final game of the season on Saturday.
It was a decisive goal and win for Atletico Madrid who secured will feature in next season’s UEFA women’s Champions League qualifying phase.
Atletico Madrid ended the campaign in third place on 61 points after 30 games.
Ajibade bagged the all important goal with 15 minutes left to play in the game.
It was her 10th goal in 30 league appearances for the Spanish side this season.
Ajibade is expected to feature for the Super Falcons at this summer’s Olympic games in Paris.
She scored the only goal in the 1-0 aggregate win against South Africa in the qualifiers.
