Benin Republic defender Olivier Verdon has been ruled out of the team’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria and Libya.
Verdon will miss the crucial qualifiers against Super Eagles and Mediterranean Knights with injury.
The defender’s absence will be a big blow to head coach Gernot Rohr’s preparation for both games.

It would be recalled that another highly-rated defender, Cédric Hountondji has already been ruled out the game due to injury.
The Cheetahs will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.
The West Africans will be away to the Mediterranean Knights of Libya four days later.
