Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, couldn’t keep a clean sheet as he conceded in Sparta Rotterdam’s 1-1 home draw with Heerenveen in a Dutch Eredivisie game on Sunday, Completesports.com reports.
The shot-stopper was unable to add to his five clean sheets so far in the ongoing 2021/22 Eredivisie season as his net was breached in the encounter.
The first half ended goalless with no goals scored from either side after Lennart Thy failed to shoot Sparta Rotterdam into the lead in the 37th minute when Heerenveen goalkeeper, Erwin Mulder, saved his spot-kick.

Dutch winger, Vito Van Crooij scored the first goal of the game for Sparta from a loop penalty kick in the 52nd minute after Ibrahim Dresevic fouled Lennart Thy in the box.
Amin Sarr equalised for Heerenveen in the 67th minute with a right-footed shot sent past Okoye into the left corner.
Sparta frantically hunted for a late winner in vain. In the 100th minute Okoye sent a long through ball to Adrian Dalmau who was flagged offside.
Sparta Rotterdam are currently 16th in the 18 team Eredivisie with 22 points from 26 games, which is a relegation play-off spot.
With two games in hand, Okoye and teammates have chance to work harder and help the Henk Fraser’s side out of the demotion zone in the Eredivisie table. They will travel to face league leaders, Ajax, on Saturday April 9, 2022.

Was this not the same man that was reported to have been sick? Something is actually wrong maybe he asked to be excused for the match
I guess so..
Maybe because of that TUNISIA goal, he lost interest after being attacked on SOCIAL MEDIA
If Okoye excuse him self from SE bcos of the threats he receives from fans after the Tunisia match, then his a weak sport man… Players that are greater than him receive death threats from fans, yet they still turn up to represent their nations.
Don’t judge like that bro…
Individual difference.
DEATH THREAT is never good in the GAME
