Both players performed creditably well
Ajayi did not really perform well….
U no watch the match..
Jones did you watch the match??? I doubt a hundred cent! Just because you read in the headline that West Brom lost made you conclude he performed badly.
For someone like me that watched the match from start to finish, Ajayi really did his part well. Coach Billic really needs to work on his midfield and attack well. They lacked composition and Leicester proved to be a really big team on their neck today. Due to their bad display upfront, Ajayi had loads of work to do. The Defence was always under pressure with Leicester attack breathing heavily on their neck each time. Ajayi had to keep out Vardy, block out Tielemans passes and he did both well.
The First Goal conceded wasn’t his fault. Second goal and Third were mistakes from one of their wing backs and Ajayi’s Defence partner – Bartley both causing penalties converted by Vardy. I also felt West Brom didn’t do well in their Transfer Market. No class player to turn things upfront. I’m having this feeling they will continue like this till January where they have the opportunity to buy quality players to bolster there squad.
I watched the match, your spot on
I watched the match…I’m not saying Semi had a bad game but He didn’t have a fantastic game….through out the game I dont think he won a One on one duel…it was so easy to get past him….but he tried in aerial duels…headmaster…I’m Semi’s fan… had to rush home to watch the game
Iwobi did not even make the bench in Everton vs Tottenham that just got underway. Is he out injured?
I always knew that with Ancelloti fortifying his team with James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, Allan from Napoli and Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford, it would be tough for Iwobi except he really ups his game.
It seems the league this year is going to be searingly hot. Even Drinkwater didn’t get a shirt number in Chelsea’s squad – while still signed up to them. Pheeww!!!
Maybe Iwobi is injured. The mistake he made was to allow the love of money take him to Everton. If he had gone to a top 3 Premier League club or to Barcelona he will not be having this problem.
Seems you’re just here kidding..lol. No be only Barca, na Bayern e for go
Like he shd just take flight and land in Barcelona and start playing lolll.
Don’t worry, he will be invited to the Eagles for there friendlies. I knew it was a matter time before iwobi will be relegated. He better request for a loan move or transfer before its too late.
@Kel, I saw the line up while they were about concluding WBA-LEI match.
Hmmm…I said it last week that if this guy doesn’t up his game, he will be out of the match day squad except James, Gomes, Richarlson, Bernard and Walcott are injured.
Everton mean Business this time and they have no time to be condoning average ballers still blowing hot and cold. Painfully, this is Nigeria’s only No.10 as we speak. Note: Iwobi is not injured at all! He was left out of the match day squad… simple.
I pray he doesn’t end up in the Championship. Better he gets a loan and move to maybe Celtic or Rangers to build himself up again
Ajayi must learn to be a leader in the defence line. He must learn to organise his defence line. He’s got the body many are begging for, but organisation/leadership is lacking. Add that to his game, Ajayi will be right there at the top. Late Keshi had those two qualities in abundance, hence people couldn’t really notice he was wasn’t as suberb in the technique of defending.
I hope this not ways of turning our own ndidi into defender? Biko we need him where he belong Rodger.
Premiership is not championship. West brom dont have quality players, they should have looked in on some quality players who were not getting enough game time in their high profile clubs and get them on loan. These players have alot of work to do if they are to remain in the premiership.
This is Ajayi’s chance to show that he is a quality defender on the big stage by delivering quality performances week in week out. I hope he is up to the challenge. Very soon super eagles will be flooded with central defenders and anyone who isnt up to the task will be dropped.
Ndidi is still dominating and showing his versatility. Im not surprised he can play in CD he did that for the Nigerian U-20 (I think). Wherever he plays underlines his importance and relevance to the team, if he leaves, they will have a hard time finding a player like him but I believe he should be playing for a much more bigger team than Leicester.
Kelechi didn’t play but atleast he was on the bench unlike iwobi who wasn’t.
For me iwobi improved slightly during the last afcon, he was a bit more physical and confident but the challenge is he doesn’t seem to be able to raise his game and give his team something extra. He still plays the same way he used to when he had his breakthrough into arsenal main team. He needs to be more assertive and always make a mark through scoring goals or creating goals regularly whenever on the pitch.
But for now it might be difficult getting into Evertons first team with the players they have now. I suggest he goes on loan to a newly promoted team to get more game time and also encourage him to work harder. Kelechi also needs to go on loan if only to show coach rogers that he isnt a bench warmer any more. He has worked very hard to come out of that poor form he suffered from in the past and last season he showed what he could do. So why continue to keep him on the bench for an entire game!. He should go to a team where he will play more often and score more goals.
Ejuke scored his first goal in russia, nice one. Looking forward to see him in the SE.
Nwakaili fans must be happy to see their boy play his first game in la liga. The boy still has some way to go before he can receive rohrs nod in the main super eagles team.
Good performances from villareals chukwueze, monacos onyekuru and partizans sadiq umar.
Here is wishing all super eagles and potential super eagles players a successful and injury free season.
