Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has reiterated that he won’t change his style of play ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Man City at Etihad Stadium.
While Spurs are hoping to end a three-match losing streak, the Citizens are seeking to avoid going three top-flight games without a win for the first time since 2017.
After three weeks at the Premier League summit, reigning champions Man City have since surrendered top spot to Arsenal after playing out successive score draws in their last two league matches with Chelsea and Liverpool.
Recall that Postecoglou’s team has been hit hard by injury, but he insisted that he won’t change his approach.

“They’ve a very decent side. They’re still a very good football side. It’s a great test for us and where we’re at as a group, as a team and our project of trying to become a team that plays the game a certain way. There’s no greater measure than playing against the best and that’s what we’ll have, a strong test at the Etihad, Postecoglou told TribalFootball.
“We’re looking forward to it, the players are looking forward to it, I’m certainly looking forward to it. They’re the kind of things that you don’t want to shy away from because they’ll give you a great barometer of where you’re at. Not so much in the result or even performance, it’s about your mindset about where you want to be.
“I want us to get a result. The reason we’re going to play the way we are is because that’s the way I think is the best way to get a result. At the same time we have a plan in place to become a certain football team and bring success to this football club and it’s not an easy road. You’re going to get challenged along the way and your resolve only gets challenged in tough times.
“It doesn’t get challenged when things are going well. It’s easy to just roll along with it but invariably there’s tough times and we’re going through one now. We’ve just got to stay strong in terms of who we want to be and make sure that we don’t lose focus on what the end game is because that’s why most teams and organisations at some point falter, because in the tough times when their resolve is tested it’s when they’re found wanting.”
