Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes has warned his fellow teammates to expect a difficult encounter against Luton Town in today’s Premier League clash.
Luton are the rank underdogs in the fixture, but Kenilworth Road has proven to be a difficult place for opposition teams. Liverpool had to dig deep to secure a draw, while Manchester United and Arsenal came out on top by the skin of their teeth.
Luton’s tails will be up after pushing Arsenal close earlier in the week, and they could smell blood with City struggling to showcase their usual aura of invincibility.
However, in a chat with the Club’s website, Nunes stated that Luton won’t be easy to defeat.
“If you look at the table, you know we aren’t in the best position,” Portugal international Nunes told City’s website. “Of course, I think at this moment it is difficult when you look and see that the gap to the top.

“But as the manager said, we have to keep going and we have to find a solution and a way to bounce back.
“The only way to do that is to work hard every day to try and be even better, more aggressive and have new ideas.
“We just need to face the next match as if it is the last one in our lives and keep looking at the next game as if it is the only game that matters. I think that is the best way to go and I think we are going to do it.”
He also said: “In terms of the atmosphere at the stadium, every stadium we go to is always amazing, especially here in the Premier League.
“Every stadium that I played in when I was with Wolves and now City, they are all amazing. In terms of atmosphere, I don’t think it will make much difference for us because we are just focused on the game.
“Luton as a team are very physical and very strong on the ball, but they also have very good players.
“I saw their game against Arsenal and they have some great players. We are going to face them like any opponent and like we always do in every game. We will respect them and know how tough it is going to be.”
