Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were at their best as Fulham defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in Thursday’s Premier League game.
Iwobi, who was substituted in the second half, was making his 18th appearance in the colouts of Fulham this ongoing season.
On the other hand, Bassey was making his 17th appearance and has bagged five yellow cards.

Cole Palmer’s first half strike was a moment of brilliance, which saw him dribble past several defenders before guiding a strike into the bottom corner.
However, when Fulham’s equaliser did arrive, it was no more than they deserved as Harry Wilson managed to divert the ball into the net.
And with seconds remaining on the clock, another substitute in Rodrigo Muniz made an impact as he kept calm to complete the turnaround and secure Fulham’s first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979.

Its clearly showed today that Nigerian coaches are playing iwobi on wrong position, iwobi can NEVER play as a holding midfielder. i think his strength lies in attack, playing him on right or left handside with lookman wont be bad, at least we have ndidi or oyendika who can play as a holding midfield midfielder…
