Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was at his best mettle as he scored a goal and bagged an assist in Leicester City’s 4-1 win over Tottenham in today’s Premier League game.
The Nigerian international, who was making his 16th appearance for the Foxes, has netted three goals and bagged four assists this ongoing season.
Tottenham broke through in the 14th minute when Ivan Perisic’s corner ricocheted kindly for Bentancur, who slotted into an open net from four yards. But Leicester turned the contest on its head with two goals in three minutes.
Mendy opened his account in emphatic fashion with a thumping 20-yard drive into the roof of the net after Spurs only half-cleared a corner.
The midfielder’s strong challenge on the halfway line then released Iheanacho, who unselfishly laid the ball off for Maddison to slide home.
Iheanacho made it 3-1 in first-half stoppage time when he neatly bent a 20-yard shot into the far corner.
Leicester put the result beyond doubt nine minutes from time as Barnes netted the fourth goal.

Iheanacho nacho hazzo…. You are proving evil fans wrong by scoring in the English Premier League. Rotten fans with their rotten teeth will be pulling down the English Premier League but Kanu and Okocha were very successful there.
Heaven bless Iheanacho and all deserving Super Eagles players.
They are silent already. Two goals in two matches is a great testament to his new found form and a perfect response to haters who has labeled him a bench warmer.
Iheanacho as much as I like him only scores towards the end of the season to avoid been sold. If he has been consistent all season, then there would have been no need to worry.
I wish him well and hopes he starts each season strong and finish strong.
Was he given the chance earlier in the season??? Majority of those matches he played earlier in the season were Camoes. Kelechi is unplayable when given confidence remember his style of play is a reminiscent of Robben whose left foot can score or create clear cut chances when in the penalty box, and when it comes to skills of ball usage he’s just excellent.
Thank God, Iheanacho is back. He is now doing what he does best. With him playing behind Lookman and Osimhen in the mix, the Nigeria fire power will be too much any opponent in the forthcoming AFCON.
Back from where? He has always be a quality player . its the coach that remembers him only when the team is on the precipice of disaster. As soon as he delivers the team and put them on a comfortable position the Coach will start playing the English men again ahead of him. That’s why I always advice senoirman to leave the club for a club where he will be playing regularly.
I don’t think iheanacho ever lost form. I feel it was the coach (Rodgers) who kept him on the bench for players like vardy and daka who weren’t giving him and the team the results they needed. And people began to question why he would continue with those players upfront when he had iheanacho. He gave his reasons why he was benching iheanacho but now we see iheanacho playing as a lone striker flanked by two wingers and still scoring goals and giving assists.
It’s good for his confidence and also good for the Leicester fans and the super Eagles as well. Our forward line is really taking shape with most of our players (especially the attackers) doing well for their respective teams.
Iheanacho keep scoring and creating goals aplenty.
A new Nigeria is really Possible!!!
Even in Soccer!!
I imagine a forward line of Osimehn and Iheanacho flanked by Lookman and Chukwueze, that attack will be deadly.
A midfield of Iwobi and Ndidi and some good defenders ; the SE will fly again.
But we still need a world class coach not these journeyman we have there now.
